The federation is to be established on 16 May 2009 as per the decision the youth made during the regional youth conference held early this year, the steering committee told ENA on Tuesday.

According to the steering committee, the youth who are members of the 160 youth associations established throughout the region will take part in the founding conference of the regional youth federation.

The committee noted that the establishment of the federation will enable the youth contribute shares toward the overall development of the region and resolve youth-related problems in a synchronized manner.
