Fiche, June 17, 2009 (Fiche) - Construction of the Gebreguracha Technical and Vocational Education Training (TVET) Institute launched in Gebreguracha Town, North Shoa Zone, Oromia State at a cost of over 2.4 million Birr has been completed, town administration said.Town administration mayor, Geremew Worku told ENA that the TVET is constructed in collaboration with the government, NGOs and the public.
The Institute has 22 classrooms, four workshops, a library and three offices.
The TVET has capacity to enroll over 1,300 students when it goes fully operational, he said, adding it has enrolled 450 students for the first time this year
The state education bureau has equipped the TVET with the necessary materials worth two million birr.
The public have contributed over one million birr in cash for construction of the Institute.
