Semera, February 28, 2009 (Semera) - Over 3,900 pastoralist community development projects will be executed in four pastoralist States at a cost of 133.2 million USD, the Federal Pastoralist Community Development Project Coordinator said.Speaking at a relevant workshop being held in Semera town, Afar State, the coordinator Assefa Tewodros said the projects would be carried out in Afar, Somali, Oromia and the South Ethiopia People’s State in the next five years.
The projects that would mainly focus on education, health, safe water, veterinary and capacity building would be executed in some 57 Woredas in the four States.
The projects are expected to benefit more than two million pastoralists.
