Speaking at the founding ceremony, Minister of Women’s Affairs Hirut Delebo said government is keen to ensure the cause of women.

Aster said the government has established women affairs offices at various levels besides designing policies and strategies which are instrumental to address the problems of women.

Encouraging results have been witness toward ensuring women empowerment, leadership and decision making owing to the multifaceted activities of the incumbent Ethiopian government, the minister said.

However, she said, a lot remains to be done to bring about the desired results. Hence, women scholars shall play their level best toward the same cause.
