Ethiopia, DPRK sign cultural exchange accord
Addis Ababa, May 16, 2008 (Addis Ababa) - Ethiopia and the Democratic Peoples Republic of Korea (DPRK) signed on Friday a three-year cooperation agreement that enable the countries strengthen ties on cultural exchanges.

The agreement focuses on strengthening cooperation among the media of the two countries in culture, art, sports, and information sectors.

Minster of Culture Tourism, Ambassador Mohammed Drir and DPRK Ambassador to Ethiopia, Ri Song Mok signed the accord.

After signing the agreement, Ambassador Mohammed said the Ethio-DPRK bilateral relations is in a good shape. The cultural exchange between the countries will contribute a lot to strengthen people-to-people relations.

Ambassador Ri Song Mok on his part said the new accord is signed based on previous agreements made between the two countries.
