Investors in Gamugofa invest 194 mln Birr
Arbaminch, May 12, 2008 (Arbaminch) - Some 74 investors operating in Gamogofa Zone of the South Ethiopia People State launched investment projects with a combined capital of over 194 million Birr, the zonal investment desk said.

Speaking at a symposium held on investment and tourism sector in Arbaminich town, Desk head Mekoya Gebregiorgis said that the investment projects, which entered into production phase, have created jobs to 2,000 people.

He said most of the investment projects focus mainly on agriculture, industry, and catering and tourism development sectors.

The investment office is taking various measures in reforming its organizational structure and improving working procedures in a bid to provide efficient services to entrepreneurs willing to invest in the sector.
