Awassa, May 12, 2008 (Awassa) - Some 121 NGOs operating in Sidama Zone of South Ethiopia Peoples State are undertaking various development projects worth over 356 million Birr, the zonal trade and industry department said.Investment desk head with Department, Gossaye Idiris told ENA that the projects are mainly in the areas of education, health, agriculture, social service and food security.
The NGOs had executed various development projects valued at over1.1 billion Birr over the last four years
The projects are expected to benefit over 40, 000 people when they go fully operational.
