Addis Ababa, May 10, 2008 (Addis Ababa) - Minister of Trade and Industry Girma Biru called up on members of Ethiopian Chamber of Commerce and Sectoral Associations (ECCSA) and investors to engage to stabilize the rising living costs in the country.He made the remark while addressing the first regular meeting of ECCSA council held here on Saturday.
Girma said the problem would be alleviated if the business community discharges its responsibilities responsibly.
The government of Ethiopia has been taking various measures to ease the burden low income communities shoulder.
Girma expressed the government readiness to extend all the necessary support to chambers and sectoral association at all levels.
The meeting deliberated on performance and audit reports of the council.
