SEPDM said striving to address social, economic, political problems of State's people
Addis Ababa, May 5, 2008 (Addis Ababa) - The South Ethiopia Peoples' Democratic Movement (SEPDM) has been exerting utmost efforts to address social, economic and political problems of the people in the state since its inception, SEPDM Central Committee Executive and Minister of Work and Urban Development said.

Dr.Kassu Ilala made the statement while speaking at the 15th founding anniversary of the Movement at an event held here in the metropolis.

He said through the strong leadership of SEPDM and struggle of the people, the State becomes beneficiary of a better development chance.

The Movement has managed to increase its members from 162,000 to 1.2 million through its unrelenting efforts, according to Dr.Kassu.

SEPDM has launched integrated efforts by coordinating the public in a bid to expand infrastructural, education and health facilities in the State.

Dr.Kassu reaffirmed the Movement's commitment to continue ongoing development and good governance activities in a strengthened manner.

SEPDM is ready to work together with affiliate organizations for the growth and prosperity of the nation, he added.

In a message transferred through their representatives ANDM, TPLF and OPDO said they would join hands with SEPDM to register better development.
