Chief lauds federal government for support to Harari
Addis Ababa, March 10, 2008 (Addis Ababa) - Chief of Harari State, Murad Abdulhadi lauded the assistance being provided by the federal government to the region in the efforts to speed up development.

Murad told ENA that the support of the federal government is significant to speed up development in the region.

Various activities are underway in collaboration with the state and the federal government with a view to enabling the public benefit from good governance and democracy.

The chief also said the Harari National League has been striving to bring about change in the state during the new Ethiopian Millennium.

The state used to return annually unused budget amounting not less than six million Birr earlier, the system of budget utilization is getting improved at present.

Efforts are underway to enable government offices and public institutions provide efficient services to the public and help unemployed citizens get access to jobs.
