Dessie, March 6, 2008 (Dessie) - Various investment projects valued at over 234 million Birr are being carried out in Dessie town of South Wollo Zone of Amhara State, the town administration said.Town’s Trade and industry and investment coordination office head, Adane Belay told ENA that the projects are in the areas of agriculture, industry, education, health hotel and tourism development sectors.
The head said the projects are being carried out on 340,000 hectares of land.
The investment projects, when they go fully operational, would create jobs for over 3,000 people, the head said.
