Japan Embassy inaugurates educational facilities, market center
Addis Ababa, March 3, 2008 (Addis Ababa) - Educational facilities and market center constructed in two regional governments by the Japan embassy in Addis Ababa at a cost of 260, 211USD was inaugurated on Saturday.

The embassy told ENA that the newly inaugurated school includes classroom blocks, pedagogical center, and educational facilities.

Chief Administrator of South Ethiopian People State, Shiferaw Shigute and Japans Ambassador to Ethiopia, Kinichi Komano were present at the inaugural ceremony.

The school expansion project in Oromia State that includes the construction of four classrooms, administrative blocks and a library was inaugurated on the day. The school has been furbished with the necessary materials and equipment.

A market center that comprises a kiosk and restaurants constructed for the Gedamso and Kereru agriculture Cooperative in Arsi Negelle town of Oromia State was also inaugurated.

The projects were executed through Mana Child Sponsorship Family Aid and Community Development Organization, Sasakawa Africa Association and Buku Weldeye Primary School through the small grants scheme of the embassy.
