A/A, July 12, 2008 (Addis Ababa) - Suspects of terror bombings perpetrated at a few places on different days in Addis Ababa in 2000 E.C. have been seized, disclosed the Joint Anti-terror Task Force of the National Intelligence and Security Service and the Federal Police.On May 20, a taxi mini-bus (plate number - code 1 - 01449) explodes at a spot along Arat-Kilo - Lagar line, in which six passengers were killed and five injured. Earlier, the task force said, it had put under control some of the suspects while activities to track down on the others continued.
The task force told ENA on Saturday that it has managed now to identify the remaining suspects.Meanwhile, it said, suspects of bombing at two NOC filling stations in the city on May 14 have been seized.
One of the seized ones who goes by the name of Yisak Gute is the most notorious terrorist who coordinated terrorists acts, solicited money, faked documents, among other things, the task force said.
Yadessa Serbessa Bonsa, the task force said, who had received training in Eritrea coordinated both bombings.
Assefa Molisa was making home-made explosives and distributing them to recruits, and actively engaged in the April 14 bombing. So far, it said, eight suspects have come under control.
Some of the apprehended suspects, it said, involved in the terror acts as coordinators and orchestrators.
Yet, the task force said, there are still suspects at large, of whom:
1. Million Diriba (Samuel Geda)
2. Amanuel Gemechu Duressa, and
3. Dechasa Ararso Iteffa
are the most wanted.
The task force said, the acts of terror were sponsored by the Eritrean regime and implemented by its stooges in Ethiopia, the self-proclaimed OLF and ONLF.
It called on the public to dial: 0111- 572121፣0115-524077 or toll free 987 and 911 to give tips on the whereabouts of the suspects still at large.
It said it would publicize soon a program which shows more details.
