Minor skirmishes will not hamper Ethio-Sudan relations: Sudanese Security Affairs Head
Addis Ababa, July 12, 2008 (Addis Ababa) - Sudanese Security Affairs Head, General Salah Abdallah Gosh said the age long relations between Ethiopia and Sudan would not be hampered due to infrequent minor, skirmishes.

During discussion with Prime Minister Meles Zenawi on Friday General Salah Abdallah Gosh said infrequent misunderstandings occurring between the peoples living along the common border of Ethiopia and Sudan do not disrupt the ties in particular political relations between the two countries.

He said the two parties have reached agreement to strengthen implementation of the system designed earlier by the two countries to solve the problem.

Elders drawn from common border of the countries would take part in the efforts to create situation to solve the problems, he said. "Ethio-Sudanese relations would continue strengthened."

Prime Minister Meles and General Salah Abdallah Gosh discussed on matters related to political and social relations between the two countries.

General Salah Abdallah Gosh on the occasion delivered message sent from Sudanese President Omar Hassan al-Bashir to Prime Minister Meles.
