Ethiopia set to meet MDG in education sector: Ministry
Addis Ababa, January 25, 2008 (Addis Ababa) - The country is undertaking wide-rang of activities in a bid to meet the Millennium Development Goal (MDG) in the education sector, the Ministry of Education indicated.

The ministry said it has attached special attention to enrolling school-aged children in the formal education program as part of the efforts in meeting the MDG, which is shared by the various regional governments.

Discussion panels had been organized last year for professionals deployed at various levels in order to familiarize professionals in the field with the nation education strategies aimed at meeting the MDG in the sector.

Strategies and objectives designed to meet the MDG in the sector have been disseminated among school principals and teachers through the plasma television, according to a monthly publication of the ministry.
