ECFE executing 1.2 million Birr development projects
Addis Ababa, January 3, 2008 (Addis Ababa) - Evangelical Churches Fellowship of Ethiopia (ECFE) said it is executing various development projects by earmarking 1.2 million Birr in the current Ethiopian fiscal year.

Solomon Lulu, Chairperson of Millennium celebration Coordination Commission with the Churches said on Thursday that besides spiritual services, the ECFE has been executing development, aid and rehabilitation works around the country.

Regarding health, ECFE has been doing its level best to fight the spread of HIV/AIDS.

Orientations that would initiate the faithful to join the efforts being made to extricate the country from poverty has also been offered, he said.

He said it has also been implementing the “two trees for 2000” projects by transplanting more than 15 million seedlings.

Since its establishment in 1976, the ECFE has been striving to execute various social service amenities that target the need of the public at large.

Evangelical Church Fellowship of Ethiopia has a long history of serving its members as an umbrella organization.
