Ethiopian symposium held in Saskatchewan Canada
Addis Ababa, February 15, 2008 (Addis Ababa) - The Ministry of Foreign Affairs said that an Ethiopian symposium was organized in Saskatchewan University, Canada on February 5, 2008 under a theme "Ethiopia's obstacles and chances in the 21st Century".

The Ministry told ENA in a statement that Ethiopians, Ethiopian origins, teachers and students of Saskatchewan University and friends of Ethiopia attended the symposium.

Two Ethiopian diplomats on the occasion briefed about the existing good governance and development activities of the nation.

Papers on the agriculture research and studies Saskatchewan University is conducting with Hawwassa University, the aid being provided by Canadian International Development Agency to Ethiopia and Africa and on international good governance was presented in the course of the symposium.

It was noted in the symposium that though Ethiopia encountered obstacles its chances are becoming brighter due to its struggle.
