Town administration repairing 7.8-Km asphalt roads
Jimma, February 3, 2008 (Jimma) - The Jimma Town Administration in Oromia State said it has been repairing 7.8-Km asphalt roads at a cost of 51 million Birr.

Town's Deputy Mayor, Kefeyalew Ayana told ENA recently that 3.8-Km of the road has already gone operational. The work on the remaining road was in progress.

Some 70 percent of the construction of 3.5-km alleys being undertaken with 4.5 million Birr has also been finalized, he said.

Meanwhile, auction is in progress to upgrade 12.5-km asphalt road at a cost of 40 million Birr secured from the regional government.
