Nekempt, April 10, 2008 (Nekempt) - Some five towns in East Wollega Zone of Oromia State have become beneficiaries of a round-the-clock electric power service, the Nekempte district of Ethiopian Electric Power Corporation (EEPCO) said.District Manager Aebra Midekissa told ENA on Wednesday that Nunu, Ayana, Geleila and Hide towns in the zone are now enjoying electric service.
He said the district has plans to electrify towns in other woredas of the zone in the coming budget year.
Some 70, 000 people have got electric service in five towns of Jimma Zone in the last budget year.
