Some 23 of the health facilities under construction are health stations, Health Program and Control Team Leader with the office, Gosa Abera told ENA.

Some four of the health facilities have already been completed, he said, while 50 percent of the construction of the remaining health facilities has been completed.

The office is striving to complete all of the health facilities by the end of the current Ethiopian fiscal year.

While going fully operational the health facilities are expected to cater services for people in 12 Woredas of the Zone and push the Woreda’s health coverage service to 60 percent which stands currently at 40 percent.
