Ethiopia, Dominican Republic sign agreement to scale up diplomatic ties
Addis Ababa, September 29, 2007 (Addis Ababa) - An agreement aimed at beefing up diplomatic relations between Ethiopia and the Dominican Republic was signed on Friday.

In a release the Ministry of Foreign Affairs sent to ENA on Saturday said Ethiopian Minister of Foreign Affairs and his Dominican counterpart Carlos Morales Troncoso signed the agreement in New York.

In a joint statement they issued after the signing of the agreement, the two parties stated that the signing of the agreement would contribute in stepping up the existing bilateral cooperation between Ethiopia and the Dominican Republic.

The diplomatic relation between the two countries would be effected by assigning non resident Ambassadors, according to the agreement.
