4 more defence witnesses testified in Daniel, Netsanet case
Addis Ababa, July 31, 2007 (Addis Ababa) - The Federal High Court on Tuesday heard more defence testimonies for Daniel Bekele and Netsanet Demissie, who have been standing trials on charges of riots instigation during the post 2005 election days.

Accordingly, the court heard testimonies by four of the ten witnesses brought to it by the defendants.

After having heard the defence testimonies, the court adjourned until Wednesday to hear from the six other defence witnesses. They testified that the defendants were advocating for peaceful conclusion of the May 2005 elections.

The defence witnesses, two of whom expatriates, were cross-examined by the Federal Prosecutor.

Ten defence witnesses had testified before the court earlier on Monday in the same trial.
