The website is meant to be a useful information source for tourists and visitors who are expected to flow to the city particularly for those coming to celebrate the new Ethiopian millennium.

At a discussion forum organized in Addis on Tuesday, Company President Girma Tadesse addressed the objectives of the website to introduce major hotels in the metropolis and would be expanded in the future.

The website, under construction in collaboration with the city's millennium office, will enable tourists around the globe to book hotel reservations in Addis Ababa online.

In this way, its designers mean to promote the country’s tourist attraction sites.

The website, whose construction is expected to be finalized within a short period, would also help to make the city a center for investment, diplomacy and growth in the new millennium, according to Beruk Gebremedhin, the head of the millennium project’s information, communications, and promotion department for the city’s millennium office.

Participants drawn from various hotels in the city, the city’s millennium office, and the culture and tourism commission were in attendance.

Electrical Solutions for Ethiopia, which is established by 36 Electrical Engineers, is operating in the sector.
