Somalis residing in UK hold rally in support of TFG of Somalia
London, December 24, 2007 (Addis Ababa) - Somalis residing in London and other cities of UK held a rally in support of the transitional Federal government of Somalia, BBC reported.

The rally was held in front of UK Prime Minister, Gordon Brown's office.

Organizer of the rally, Abdulkadir Abdule told BBC that six committee members and elders have presented a joint resolution to the prime minister's office.

The resolution appeals to the UK government for support to the Transitonal Federal government of Somalia and necessary assistance to the AU peace keeping force deployed in the horn of Africa country.

The resolution also requests the assistance to be made in finance and training.

The demonstrators on their resolution pledge to stand by the UK government in its efforts to support the TFG.

Some 150-300 Somalis gathered for the rally who came from Birmingham, Leicester, Bristol and London.
