The 25 member delegation received a warm welcome upon arriving at Axum Atse Yohannes IV Airport.

Major General Urbelino Bentacur on the occasion stressed need to further strengthen the historical ties of the two countries.

He expressed that the people of Cuba would stand by the side of Ethiopians in their efforts to eradicate poverty and realize the country’s renaissance in the new millennium.

The delegation visited historical heritages depicting the ancient Axum civilization, ancient museum of Axum Tsion, tombs and palaces of kings, and the historic town of Adwa where the fascist Italian forces were defeated.
