U.S. Embassy pledges collaboration with FEACC
Addis Ababa, August 14, 2007 (Addis Ababa) - The U.S. Embassy here has expressed readiness to work in partnership with the Federal Ethics and Anti-corruption Commission (FEACC) on various areas of cooperation.

Holding talks on Tuesday with FEACC Commissioner, Ambassador Donald Yamamoto described as encouraging the achievements the Commission has so far been able to register.

He confirmed that his Embassy would provide the Commission with the necessary support so that to help it enhance the good work.

Capacity building, training and crime prevention will be the major areas of cooperation, according to the Ambassador.

He also stressed the need for a strong cooperation between the Commission and the Embassy on the extradition of corrupt individuals sneaking out of the country after having embezzled public funds.

Visa fraud was also high on the agenda during the discussion, it was learnt.
