Bahir Dar, February 16, 2010 (Bahir Dar) - Seven political parties contesting in Bahirdar Town and West Gojjam Zone of Amhara regional state have signed joint agreement to make the upcoming election peaceful, democratic and credible.The parties signed the agreement in Bahirdar Town on Monday in the presence of religious leaders, elders and party observers.
The parties agreed to hold the election in peaceful manner in accordance with the Elections Code of Conduct law for Political Parties.
The agreement enables the public vote for parties they prefer.
